Mandy – Barry Manilow

It was on this day in 1974 that Arista Records released Barry Manilow’s “Mandy” as the first single from the “Barry Manilow II” album.
What followed was an unprecedented string of 27 consecutive Top 40 hits.
Anyone who jokes about Barry Manilow or his music, have either never listened to him at all, or have never listened beyond the singles.
I dare you to look, and listen, further.

For now, though… have a listen to the one that put Barry Manilow on the map.
